JWess - Enhanced CD-ROM / Press Kit

Originally intending to forge a career in basketball, J-Wess arrived on Australia’s shores in 1999 to play in the NBL. Inevitably, his passion for music led to his involvement in the local music and club scene, and it was then that it dawned on the athlete that his future may lie in music rather than basketball.

He exploded onto the music scene with ‘Bang This’, a bangin’ club track that set commercial radio ablaze and hit the ARIA Top 20. He followed it up with the Top 10, Gold+ selling single ‘What Chu Want’ ... another major radio and club hit. Now, urban producer, songwriter and artist J-Wess is ready to launch his assault on the album charts with the highly anticipated ‘J-Wess Presents Tha L.P.’

When J and his record label Vicious Urban decided they wanted to create an Enhanced CD of THA LP and add some of J's killer video clips, they turned to Real World Productions. We had already worked with Vicious founder Andy Van when we handled the streaming media for his own mind bogglingly successful project Madison Avenue and their world wide smash hits Don't Call Me Baby and Who the Hell Are You

For J and producer John Course at Vicious, we captured up the mucho slinky videos from the broadcast quality masters, then compressed those clips to ubiquitous MPEG-1 in our compression suite. We then set about creating a cool interface for this interactive portion of the disc in a way which was harmonious with the rest of the creative of 'Tha LP'. Finally, we authored a cross-platform CD replication master that plays seamlessly on Windows and Mac along with the original CD Audio album content.

Now the world can not only hear the insanely infectious beats of Tha LP, but watch J ... courtesy of Real World Productions. If you haven't yet caught up with JWess, then as someone in the Australian music scene once said "Do yourself a favour.." and go snarff up 'Tha LP'. It's got more hooks than fishing tackle store and in no time you'll be shakin your groove thang all over the shop.
